You Can Do It!
Today I’d like to give you a little encouragement. Most of us could use a lot more encouragement. Trying to change your life to become healthy and well can be hard.
I’m proud of you for accepting responsibility, taking action, and doing the best you can to become healthy and well.
It takes a lot of guts to admit that you have a problem and that you want to change. You’re showing guts! You’re improving yourself and that’s great.
Kudos to you! I’m very happy that you’ve taken this positive step.
I want you to know, you can do it! It takes time, and sure, you’re going to have some setbacks. We all have setbacks.
It’s not going to go perfectly. What ever goes perfectly? But you absolutely can do it!
It is hard to change, but I’m sure you’ve accomplished a lot of hard things in your life.
Did you graduate from college? That’s hard. Did you raise children? That’s hard. Have you worked your way up through several promotions at your company? That’s hard. Have you ever faced a serious illness in a loved one or possibly in yourself? That’s hard.
So, you’ve done a lot of hard things in your life — you just haven’t done this one yet. It’s different but it’s not any harder some of your other accomplishments. You can do it!
Know that you are more powerful inside than you give yourself credit for. I know that this is true. All of us are telling ourselves that we’re not as good as everybody else. But actually, we are.
You have vast inner resources of power inside, and when you tap into them, your journey will get easier. Just keep at it.
I don’t know if you’ve asked for help yet on your journey, but you should. We could all use assistance. Everybody needs help, and it’s no shame to ask for it.
In fact I’m very proud of you if you’re asking for help. There are so many people that would like to help you be healthy and well.
Now some people are critical; some people are not supportive of your goals. Lose those people! You don’t need them. You need people that love and support you and are willing to help you.
I’m sure that there are some around. Find them and just ask for help. They will support and encourage you.
So you know the secret to improving yourself. The secret is facing your problems, accepting responsibility, and knowing that you have internal resources of strength that you don’t give yourself credit for.
Realize that you’ve done a lot of hard things in your life up to this point. Ask for and accept help. Making your plan, and keep working the plan.
Don’t quit. Just keep at it. You’re going to have ups and downs. Don’t worry about it. Just keep at it.
You absolutely can do it. I know you can do it! I believe in you, and I’m proud of you.
You can do it. Go for it!
