More Health Less Care Goes International

America Needs More Health and Less Care.  That’s my message.  You know it by now.

But I’ve been limiting my remarks to the United States because I feel that I understand our American culture.  Although other developed countries are experiencing similar public health issues, I haven’t felt qualified to comment.

I just don’t know enough about how life is and how people think elsewhere, and it’s a huge mistake to assume that everyone lives and thinks like you do.

Wenley

Marshall

That’s why I’m so excited by my email conversations this week with Helen Wenley of Auckland, New Zealand and Anne Marshall of Devon, England.

They’ve both endorsed “More Health, Less Care.” It’s great to know the work speaks to others across the sea, and it reminds me that all of us can find the help we need wherever we are.  Potential health teammates are everywhere.

Helen is a self-described “Healthy Aging Boomer.”  After a varied career she became a self-taught nutritional expert and wellness coach.  Now she’s helping others to better health and vitality.  I love Helen’s story for two reasons.

One is that people need help and I always appreciate the helpers.  But her journey also validates my contention in “More Health Less Care” that you CAN be your own expert.  You CAN take control of your health and learn what you need to do to be well.  Helen did, and now she’s sharing her wisdom with others.

Anne started as a nurse and then broadened her experience to include hypnosis, training and coaching.  Author of the book, “The Health Factor: Coach Yourself to Better Health” she has a thriving health and wellness coaching practice.

Having had a chance to read her book, I am struck by our similar philosophies and messages.  Although the styles are very different, we’re clearly coming from the same place.

I feel good that the “More Health Less Care” message resonates across the ocean — at least in New Zealand and England, and it’s nice to connect with others.  Thank you Helen and Anne for all that you do.  You are making a difference, and I appreciate your encouragement of me.  Keep up the good work!

I am not surprised that people on the other side of the world appreciate your book Pete. I am, however, surprised at how quickly it has reached so far. Glad More Health Less Care is getting read. It’s high time the concepts in the book were put into action. Congratulations on the good news.

Thanks for the mention Pete. I have now passed your book on as a loan to a dear friend of mine who is trying to reverse diabetes. Clive is a Business Coach and Personal Coach, so I am hoping that he will be in tune with your book. I will let you know how Clive finds your book.
By the way, I used to get a lot of colds and sinus problems until I started taking nutritional supplements nearly 10 years ago — now on the rare occasion that I do get a cold, it lasts two days only. And I have had zero sinus problems. When I do feel that a cold is imminent I add Olive Leaf to my normal supplements, and usually nothing develops.

Helen, you’re welcome. I also take some nutritional supplements. Too many people dismiss them out of hand, but too many people also expect them to solve problems related to a harmful lifestyle. We need a good lifestyle and good nutrition. Pete
